To all concerned: I spent another two hours going over parts, snappin pix, and chattin about details regarding an offer on these two Larx, (66 & 67). After all the pix I took and reviewed, the simple economic fact is, I am not seeing enuf interest and/or sellable stuff to justify ME spending my money to buy these two cars just for parts. BESIDES, it seems that he and I have a bit of a difference on value. I offered him $650 for the pair. His bottom line is $2000 for the pair. RUFF calculations on my part is, there is about $600 worth of sellable stuff AT BEST! SO, do the math,...I'd be upside down into these two cars, holding a $1400 balance of scrap metal that is now worth, what, maybe $200 at todays falling scrap weight....? Its a shame I know, to see these cars go byebye, but I truely believe he will come around once he realizes my offer is very reasonable. HANG IN...we'll wait'n see what happens:

LATEST PIX: both quarter panels on the 66 & 67 are rusted thru. The front bumper on the 66 is twisted. ..good core maybe. The 67 Grille emblem is decent, slight pitting, busted plastic on the WHITE trishield part. Factory a/c firewall box (66) appears good usable condition. Lower pass fender trim is decent not much shiney chrome but no pitting! The 67 split bench seat with folding armrest is solid as far as mechanics...appears to be no busted springs...usable. The 67 rear bumper is Ok, some rust showing on the lower part, dunno IF its rusted thru or not..? maybe a core?

YES, there is potential of other usable parts on these cars, however, I hope you all understand that I still must 'move BOTH of them' to my location an hour and half north of me in my buddies back 40, (that means 4 trips!) I still have to strip these parts...box and ship them too... and other'n helping you guys out with your needs, WHICH I DO NOT MIND DOING AT ALL :beer ...I find it difficult to do all this work and still throw away food money...doesnt make sense with the economy like it is. So, we'll see what the fello does. BEFORE he trashes these car, I can only HOPE he will contact me first. Wheelz, Tampa Bay

THANKS Wheelz! I completely agree with your thinking. Hopefully this guy will come around to a more realistic expectation.

I'd love to have that grille emblem - it's "less cracked" than mine!

    Best Wishes,

..and more pix: Real nice 66-67 hood..barely any signs of rust. The 66 rear bumper has some rust but OK core. The 67 underdash a/c unit is ,..well, um, OLD and I CAN feel COLD AIR around the unit....so it MUST be working?.. (maybe csuse its only 49 degrees today has some'n to do with it :Brow: ??? Manual steering box anyone? :Do No: How about those hard-to-find carb to trans-switch-pitch-pitch-trans-switches? (yea, say THAT 10 times FAST!!) as you can see, they're there and complete! The windshield washer unit APPEARS to be fairly new and WITH a washer pump too! A few extra 14 inch wheels...a Power brake unit. And the letters on the 67 hood are a mess. I dunno why I wasted a good shot of these.:Dou:
If YOU or ANYONE can point out WHY I should OFFER more than the $650 I already offered..PLEASE edjumakate me willya! :TU: Wheelz, Tampa Bay

ThanX Jason...please clarify.."the inside a/c box..the original one"??? DO you mean the ORIGINAL heater box on the inside firewall, under the dash? or are you talking about the aftermarket HANG ON a/c unit as in the pix? AND ..at this point its prolly a mute point until the seller calls me back?!?!?!? "IF" he calls me back. :Do No: We'll see. Wheelz, tampa Bay
