Am looking at a '67 GS400 but would like a little more info. before I talk to the owner. can anyone decode the number plate for me? ST 67-44667 BF0010 body TR 193 N2 paint 6224 00637 Thanks so much for your help
ST 67 = Style 67 model 4 = Buick 46 = GS400 67 = Convertible BF= Fremont, Cal is the plant of manufacture 0010 body= Fisher body number TR 193= Saddle interior with bucket seats N2 paint = Burgundy Mist exterior with a black top ( double check this. It is either white or black) 6224 00637 = Fremont specific codes the meaning of which is currently unknown
Thanks Jim that's excellent helps me out so much. I did make a mistake on the body # should be 105. thanks again
That just means just was 105 in the sequence of Buicks for that plant. Fremont, which I believe is closed, would have been a multi-line plant--meaning they assembled several GM brands of cars. I am not saying they started the sequence with #0001.
Re-check that. I doubt a burgundy mist exterior GS came with a yellow interior. My books clearly show saddle which is a more logical choice.
It's been discussed on this board many times. The problem is that Buick has a typo in their books and calls it Saddle, see this thread: http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.p...r-was-original-but-what-s-with-this-print-ad&
