Those black vinyl seats and lack of AC is going to make summer driving for the hardy only, but what could be better then a 4 speed convertible on a sunny spring day?
Whats not to like? Other than the tweaked front bumper and grill on the drivers side? Maybe the tweaked trunk lid and tail light mounts? Laying on your back scraping the bottom clean is a helluva way to use a rotisserie, especially netting a cruddy shiny red finish (scaly under the paint). Then theres the trim that holds the top boot down, tweaked on the passenger side and not seated, and a lousy fit-up on the passenger side door handle. No doubt lottsa time and $$$, but just a shade short of a Brinks truck full. Maybe fun for a beater but surely not 55K! ws
It looks like the auction ended early so I'm guessing an offer was accepted. I think most of the minor issues with this car could be corrected if the new owner wanted to do so. As a former owner of a car similar to this one I don't think its priced out of line at all. It is a very rare numbers matching car plus an original red car, most are repainted red. It needs some details for sure and pictures do lie. In my opinion this car is still a rare piece of Buick and GM history. I would take this car everyday over some other over priced Chevelle or GTO. This is just my opinion because I love the 67 GS 400 cars

Something that makes this car unusual, besides the 4-speed, is the lack of options. Of the 80+ ‘67 GS400s I’ve gathered info about, this one is one of the least optioned. It only has 2 accessory codes (LF) on the trim tag, which is the least of any Kansas City or Flint GS 400 convertible car I’ve seen. The visible options on this car: Bucket seats 4-speed Console AM radio Power drum brakes Road wheels (It could have a positraction rearend) It’s not surprising to not have A/C, PW, P-seat, tilt, AM/FM or tach since those are a premium options and a little more unusual to see. But this car does not have many of the items that are often spotted on a majority of ‘67 GS400s. It has no tinted glass (not even the windshield, it would have been noted on the trim tag), no power steering, no clock (which also means no trunk light), standard plastic seat belts, no upper door moldings, and no remote door mirror. I’m not saying this is a bad thing, I’m just saying that this is a stripper model in the world of GS 400 convertibles. This is a ‘67 GS 400 that would be appropriate for a set of standard painted rims and small hubcaps. With all that said, I’d still like to have this in my garage. I’d put the white pinstripes back on the sides and start burning gas. Oh, and I might add power steering so I could steer with one hand and still have one hand free to row through the gears of that 4-speed.
don't think you need power steering unless your going to bang gears parallel parking or turning a tight corner
