I am looking for a set of factory appearing shoulder belts for my 67 GS400. I have the deluxe belt option so that makes locating the correct belts pretty tough.

From the research I have done so far, a correct 67 shoulder belt should have the buckle portion anchored to the roof, the male end is bolted to the floor. There are a few good articles on 67 camaro shoulder belts that show a buckle retainer secured to either the rear upper door panel or the rear armrest to keep the buckle in place when not used.

I found one company who has correct appearing belts for sale, but they are listed as for a camaro. Does anyone know if these will physically work in an A-body car? Almost $500 for seatbelts is insane but I don't see many other options short of replacing all my seatbelts or going with an aftermarket 3 point setup.

Here's what I had installed in my 66 Skylark when I did my frame off. I had the upper mount point welded in and these installed.

Can't really see it, but the seat belt that has the male end is the one attached to the roof. The female buckle end is attached to the floor mounted bolt under the seat.

These do have the GM logo on the push button, and they don't match the carriage logo that my 66 Skylark has. I don't know if the 67s have the GM logo or the carriage on the button. On my car, I didn't care that they don't match, I just wanted the shoulder belts. I *think* they make replacement carriage logo's if you want to rebuild a seat belt buckle, I just haven't really looked into it because my car isn't a concourse restoration.

The buckles with the fisher body carriage on them are the deluxe seat belts (code 5y I believe). I would really like to get something that matches my belts as they are in quite good shape. What is the length of the buckle belt and tongue belt in your car? There is a place that sells deluxe Camaro belts and if the length is the same I plan on trying them out.

The buckle belt for the shoulder belt is the same length as the buckle belt for the lap belt. The tongue end of the shoulder belt comes down to between my chest and my waist.

    Here's the stagecoach pushbutton insert.

Here's a pic with the two different kinds of buckles next to each other. The center seat belt and buckle are not installed yet.

I was able to get a set of correct appearing shoulder belts from Jon (jonmil). They fit perfect even if they may not have come from a Skylark/GS. Eventually I will send all my belts out to be restored/rewebbed.
