If it checks out that's a sweet deal. If my 67 was finished I would be interested.

Is he making room for other 66's?

Chris, do you know anything about the 66 GS that was advertised in Portland about a month ago?..... said it was a dealer race car? I only saw a Google search mention of it but the CL ad disappeared before I saw it. I figured you and Jimmy jumped on that one!

If it is the same one I am thinking of, he had two cars for sale and I think it was a high price like $30k for the pair? I spoke with him while driving home one night, so unfortunately I don't have any notes to go back to so I will try from memory.

The "dealer race car" part was because it was a post car. And people preferred post cars to race. SO, that is what made it a dealer race car, lol.

His parents had purchased this one and a matching Skylark new in 66. I think they were both white with blue interior, bench seats. The both needed work. The Skylark was pretty loaded as I recall. He had no idea where he should be on price, so he just threw out a number.

I had sent the link to Jimmy when it was first listed and I am pretty sure he spoke with the guy about them.

  15. Jimmy talked to the guy also and I think he got pics as well. said it was a wild goose chase and not a factory race car.
