Will a posi rear end from a 66 Riviera bolt up to a 66 Wildcat?
If it is not a direct swap, what would I need do to put the posi into my existing rear end?
I am not very sharp on rear ends whatsoever, so any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
    Thank You,

    Steve,

I looked in my 66 chassis manual and this is what I found. The 4600 - 4800 rear ends are somewhat different than the 4900 (Riviera) series. The 4600-4800 has two upper and two lower control arms and the 4900 series has only one upper and two lower control arms. The internals are the same, but the housings are different. Figure 40-151 shows the 4600-4800 series with two "ears" attached to the differential housing at an angle to the axle; Figure 40-152 shows the 4900 series with one ear mounted on the right half of the differential mounted perpendicular to the axle.

Get out you axle puller :Dou:

I'm only going on what's in the chassis manual, maybe someone else out there has had a different experience.

I believe the pig/chunk is the same, but the actual rear end is not, as I have the complete rear axle from the '66 Riv, that Charles had for sale last fall in my backyard. Topcat told me the pig was the same, aka Notswildbill in our world!
