    Hello all,

Gauging interest in my '66 Deuce and 1/4. Very clean car, 425 Nailhead has >500 mile since rebuild in 2006. Stock intake and carburetor. Stock manifolds, needs muffler & tail pipe. Interior has 2 very minor flaws as shown in pictures. Headliner and dash are perfect as is carpet. ALL electric controls function properly (windows, seat, power antenna). Radio works well. Drives straight and rides like a dream on the open road!

Needs heater core and paint or just drive her as she is. Questions, please contact me with direct reply to this post. $6500. IMG_0430.JPG IMG_0431.JPG IMG_0433.JPG

OK GL: I noticed your car. The price is somewhat inviting. I'm a pain in the ass and I'd want a/c...but like I said, I'm a pain in the ass. The running good part is especially appealing. I think you are close on the price....between your asking and 5 grand and let 'er rip. Good luck on your sale! Mitch

    Very pretty car!
If I lived in Ca, I'd buy it, I've always wanted a companion to my convertible. However, I live in Canada, and your price point while on the money puts it out of my realm once exchange is factored in. And then of course there's shipping and getting it across a border without having some cavities un-willfully probed. It might be an idea for you to include some interior shots and list the options it has, as well as the engine size, as there were 2 available in 1966.
I too, would have preferred A/C, particularly as an alternative to my convertible.
    Good luck with the sale!

Mitch, Thanks for your interest, believe me, one of the reasons the mileage is so low is that I live in Sacramento, triple digits quite often during the summer! If she goes I'll really miss her but need the room in the garage for other projects.

Has it got Cruise Control (rare) or Speed Alert (far too common)?
The motor is painted red, is it the 425?
Is it an older repaint? (There are white blemishes showing, was that the original colour?)

No cruise, yes speed alter, yes original 425, my brother, the dummy painted it red because he liked it better than the proper light blue.

Yes older repaint with original color

OK GL: I noticed the synthetic enamel with the left quarter lookin' like it was a 2 stage spot. This car has lots of potential. Black interior color allows a choice of an exterior repaint of any color. The interior is not too far away from being 100% too. Someone can really do this car up authentically because it's got such great bones. You can go either a minor upgrade or balls out. Personally, I like balls out because it's so solid to start with. Add a factory vinyl top and some factory wire caps and look out! She's gonna pop! A suggestion....post this on the Buick Club of America's web page. Buickclub.org I'm sure you'll find someone who really appreciates it! Mitch

My dad bought one brand new and I loved it at 11 y.o. ! Does that have the one piece rear window (Its bent in the center with a seam) ? His was a metallic turuoise with a pearl white interior with a white vinyl top. I'd like one but needs A.C. !! I remember the chrome vents used to get frosted. I really like that rigid headliner too! Good luck with the sale!

ed: Anyone remember the popular mechanics magazine that had the rear of one of these on the front cover? Its showed a 2 bar solid light from side to side. Dont recall how they did that but there was no bulb cavity separation. Really looked awesome! ws

I find the grille kinda ordinary in these years( including my 68 Wildcat grille), but that's some of the choicest USDA prime Buick ass from the 60's. Brings back memories of my 68 Imperial Crown, but way sportier! Very nice engine compartment,Not over restored. Having limited use for A/C up here, I love the uncluttered look of the engine compartment sans compressor.

My first car and my first Buick was a 66 custom coupe with the fused back window ,what a land yacht sled! Road and drove so nice! A Verde green machine! I'm thinking the 425 is supposed to be red for 66' the last two that I have seen with 425's one a Carter carb the other a Rochester both had red engines in numbers matching cars! Good luck with the sale! Love the taillights and the dashes are beautiful!
