Hi I am wondering if their is any way that I can adapt the 1966 342 posi to my 1967 housing i know their is 2 different size bearings it has just ben so hard to find the big rear parts and I dont want to go another rout with the car would appreciate any input thankyou
66 67 68 69 70 ALL INTERCHANGE full size car to full size car GUTS ring and pinion (9.3) it is not 9.75 . The Posi if it is the early 66 I am sure some one (machiniest could make a press on spacer to make the hub larger for the late 66 - 70 carrier bearing to work... BUT HIGH performance running could have it spin and fail.
Yes I am sorry I could check into it it's to bad to the unit is in really nice shape if heard that I can use the gears if I get the right posi with the big bering I'm goi g to keep my eye out it's just one of those things that has ben a bear to find
So you need the 67 68 69 70 posi NOT the early 66. Are you sure? Did you check? I will check my shelf and make sure I do not have anymore.
