So, I put a 455 ci engine in the '66 skylark. I got a new Saginaw style pump to go with the new engine, but the high pressure line is way too long. What do most people use? The pump has a 5/8" inverted flare fitting. Can I just get a hose from a '72 Lesabre or something else that had a 455 engine?

I made a hydraulic hose using Parker 20 series field connections. a little pricey but all you need is a wrench to assemble it.

I used the stock hose that yes is pretty long and just dealt with it. Always been on my list of things to do to get a shorter one made for it.
