66 Buick Skylark 340 electric kickdown assembly

    Got a 66 buick Skylark with 340..4barrel the rod out of plunger is missing that attaches to carb.. need info/links for replacement.. not very knowledgeable,,kinda new to this vintage car thing just joined forum ..any help is SO appreciated..

    Welcome to V8Buick. That part will be tough to find. No one reproduces that AFAIK. Buick used the ST300, a 2 speed transmission, during those years. Some of them were switch pitch transmissions. The switch pitch has a 2 stall speed torque converter. That plunger switch not only controlled the kick down, but the stall speed change as well. Not sure if the switch pitch option would have come on a 340 Skylark, but it might have. Others here will know for sure. Depending on what you actually have, there are options available. The switch pitch plunger switch and idle switch look like this.
