Sure looks like a York (Ford) compressor to me. Why anyone would put one of those things on a GM car is beyond me. At low rpms they sound like a coffee grinder. Maybe someone made a kit out of a Ford system. It would be simple to use the hang under the dash unit that came in Mustangs to adapt to another car.
compressor Yup, Ford or after market, some one like climatic air or tecumsie. Would cool good. Not original as the guy claims. I wonder what else is not as he claims. :Brow:
Rick. I agree with the rest. Aftermarket A/C. Too bad there isn't a better interior shot to see if there is an underdash A/C unit.
