    Jon,
Nice, real nice, brought back a lot of memories... I did the same thing with my 64 lark cpe.... but I have always liked the wagons.... they have an advantage on the strip because more of the weight is back on the rear wheels.....the way I did my dash was like you did but I cut the whole area out and fabed a alluminum panel with a tach, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, amps and dwell meter... looked factory....
You will need a posi and wheel hop is going to be a problem.... I got a posi from a 65 gto [4.11] and then put air lift air bags in the rear coils to solve the hop problem... worked good...
If you will go ahead and rig up a cold air intake system to your air cleaner you will pick up 30 plus horse power....
I am now working on a 65 skylark gs, basicly I have a super cat engine but with a holley 3 barrell [1050 cfm on a cut out stock manifold]... just about to start it up ,if and when I get a fan shroud built for it....
Nice project , I really like it....

    Cool project!:TU:
Must be a great cruiser with all that Nailhead torque!

Doc, for your Nailhead fan shroud, find one for a crossflow 300, turn it upside down, and trim an inch or so off of the fan area....works great on the nail!
Or buy a repo GS shroud for $120...

why didn't you paint my exhaust manifold??

    <grin>

I like that, looks great Jon.. I'm gonna have to go paint my damn exhaust manifolds now tho.. haha

Still not sure where I stand on the valve covers.... I'm a bit too on the originalist side.. but for something unique like this, I love em.

The interior is Astro Blue Poly which is probably the original outside color. Why not consider it ! Or something very close with say some metal flake in it ! IMHO Gary / Moz

I used the conversion from RIGHT STUFF in Columbus, ohio
real easy conversion- the booster is a stock unit(rebuilt) and the master is from a 77 regal, prop valve from a 80 regal- stops on a dime!!!

The car was originally blue/white, so it will probably end up the same-
LET THE SHEET METAL WORK BEGIN!!!!:blast:

Isn't it time for some more '65 pics in here? Either some progress pics or some "Here's mine" responses.

I'm jonesin'. I guess I need to bug Ratz for some updates on his '61 over in that thread too.
