65 Head unit ?

I'm wanting to put a clean radio in my 65 Gran Sport convertible . I'd like it to be blue tooth and if dash unit be able to put 65 knobs . Ideas please , thanks

 

Think there was a post somewhere here before where the originals can be retrofitted with new internals. Googled it once before and there was a guy doing it on the internet also.

 

I put a Retro-sound radio in my 64, the bezel is close to a 65, I filed a flat spot on the shafts for the outer knobs then drilled out about half of the notch from the back side of the inner knob (would have to look for the size bit I used). Used a 6 1/2" Retro-sound dual voice coil speaker. Will post a pic if anyone wants to see it.

 

Mike, leave the original radio and housing untouched. Purchase a new system, hide it inside a tissue dispenser and add AMP in glovebox and base shakers under the seat. . . . I did this to a 72 Stage 1 and the sound was awesome all WITHOUT Cutt'n up the dash...

Sure, I'd like to see your setup.

 

Here it is. The trim bezel they send doesn't fit very well. I got them to send me one for a GTO, and I took a dremel to the bottom to make it fit.

 

I had Jim on here add Bluetooth to mine. He can add FM also and is reasonable. Use your old radio.
