65-67 12 bolt rear in 69 GTO?

Will the later 66-67 12 bolt's that are 1" narrower bolt into a 69 GTO?

Yep. I have a 69GS rear in a 67 Cutlass with a 6 inch tire and plenty of space. And a cousin put a 70 rear in a 65 GTO with 9 inch slick...tire is close to fender but does not rub. Basiclly 64-72 A-bodies are a direct swap,Dave
