Well, after just a few short months of reducing the fleet, I went "and did it again". This time, a 64 Wagon....can't believe I did this. Anyhow, It's all there, 100% unmolested, has virtually all the trim, no rust but surface as it's been sitting for around 13 years. It has two different sets of wheel covers in the back. They almost look totally new and a few are still covered with a sort of yellow material that looks like shipping stuff. Anyhow, the wheel covers both have the Tri shield emblems...now I'll be getting rid of these pretty quick so I'll post some pics.
Additionally, The entire vehicle is complete including the air cleaner. Nail head engine of some sort, auto, AC, PS/PB.....it's actually kind of neat. Big roof to boot. I'll post some pics of the entire thing...don't know what I will do with it, maybe just try to give someone here on the boad a good deal. I'm gonna try and fire the thing over the weekend as the gentleman I purchased it said it was close to starting 12 or 13 years ago. LOL

Here's two pics of a 14 inch and a 15 inch hubcap. Both are full sets and they are different from one another even though they look the same. If anyone is interested in these, let me know via private email, benderbrew@sbcglobal, and we can go from there.

Hi Jim, well I washed the heck out of that wagon today. Pretty funny, 2500 PSI, and you should have seen the stuff behind the stainless trim. Great wagon though, virtually no rust anywhere except for that surface stuff from lack of pain. Inside is really not bad. Has big tires on the back. Four sets of various tri shield wheel covers. Now, tomorrow I gonna try to fire this thing. The Chevy place, ya a real dealership, sold it to me---said the owner was real close to get it running and then just gave up...car sat for nearly 15 years. But it's Calif, So. Cal to be exact. so no rust at all anywhere. I'm going to shoot some good pics tomorrow and will post. Take care all.

Hi Marvin, no actually the guy that "won" it didn't pay so I had an email in to the owner. So we made a deal. Car was actually out behind a Chevy dealership in Glendora. Been out there for 15 years. Tires were still up, nasty looking too. Virtually no rust, one small ding...stainless excellent all the way around. Interior not too bad. Most of the door rubber is toast though.
Didn't want another car. But picked up a 455, gonna slap some rings, bearings in it, got a long shaft 400 with the motor, slip that in and away it goes.
How's your wagon project? Gotta see it sometime I know. Good to hear from you Marvin.

News Flash, let's put the 600 Plus HP/TQ 490 BBB in it for a few days, tear the rear end out of it and then go from there. What a hoot that would be.

Now here's several pics of the wagon. I "stole" them from eBay and hence, they are small and also I stuck them in MS Word, so it's a words document. But it still works. Remember serface rust only

Re: 64 Wagon---aluminum heads and intake

Well, taking a break from other stuff, I popped the hood on the wagon and started moving stuff around. And Lo and behold, it has an aluminum intake and aluminum heads...Now I know this is a stock motor, but who wouldda thought. So I pull the red carb air cleaner off, and this son of a gun has a one barrel carb. Now, aluminum heads and intake and a one barrell? Heck the thing has dual exhaust and a big a__ trailer hitch on it as well as air lift shocks. Again. who woulda thought. So question, is the engine worth anything with that aluminum stuff? Or is it just another small Buick nail head

I'm just curious; did you ever get it to start? :Do No: What ever happened to this wagon. :Do No: Several months ago (maybe February) I was working with "Wheelz" to buy it and ship it east.
    Like I said, I'm just curious.
