64 Special?

Back in the early 80's I found a engine and Transfer, 64' Buick 300 with aluminum heads and intake. It also had a 4 barrel and a T-10 4 speed. I unfortunately lost my storage and sold to a friend (Doug I think in Elgin IL). Are there any original 64' Special or Skylarks around with that drive train?
    Thanks

I think that was Buicks early small block performance tryout. Thanks for responding.

There are a lot more 65 Skylarks around these days than 64s. The aluminum heads were not very forgiving and led to an early demise for a lot of 64s. My first car was a 64 three on the tree, a month later it was a 3 on the floor, a month after that it was 4 on the floor. Ran real well, tipped the scale at 2950 lbs, real fun car.

Sounds like a great time. If I remember right, the guy I sold the 300 to rebuilt it with a custom grind cam and some other stuff. Then dropped it in a 65' Skylark with the T10 and a 4.56:1 rear. I think it ran 14s. I drove it once and I could shift one two three before I'm through the intersection. Then he drove it to WI. and it blew. Oh well.

I know of a green one in Idaho. it is a 64. I believe i posted a for sale lead on this forum a few years ago, it looked very nice and he was asking $10k. He sold it within a few days. When I spoke to him he said he purchased from the original owner and it had never been restored.

Nice. I also found a 64' convertable 4 speed on the clubbuick.Com site. Don't know if it has aluminum heads though.
