Thanks..........trying to keep it tucked up and out of sight as much as I can. The fun part starts soon......raising the body as high as I can to weld all the top joints and touch up the paint.

    Alpha Lark is looking good!!

Do you have a timeframe or an event you're shooting for, or will it be done when it gets done?
I know you probably have a lot of other irons in the fire so I was just wondering.

    BUQUICK I'm your huckleberry.

Somehow I have never seen this thread until today.

Steve that is going to be a really cool car. Thanks for sharing photos with us all so we can admire the quality craftsmanship and learn a thing or two along the way as well. I'll certainly be following along now. Also, that's a nice shop you have there.

    Thanks Guys!
I have a "grudge match" set up at the 2019 GS Nat's against Mike Phillips and his 67 that he's building. Not 100% positive either one of us will be ready, but you have to set some kind of goal, or it'll drift on for a long time! (and I'm starting to get old, so I don't want that to happen!! LOL) I really hope that we both have them running if not finished, but we'll see.............

Thanks Gary, I worked many years and built a lot of cars while lying on the floor to get to this point! I do love my shop and wish I could spend more time out there! Hopefully when I retire in 4-5 years I'll get more shop time for some fun projects!

Is he the guy that bought the billet intake? If so ALL of your welding skills will be needed to up that piece of art!

Mike Phillips of AMP, (Automotive Machine & Performance........retired). He's the man that built the engine in my white GSX (that's still running strong).

Duh, I thought that name looked familiar.

I think the guy that bought that intake has the same last name? Or is Phillip his first name? Oh well.

This dam CRS(can't remember sh!7) sucks.

This is an awesome build. Next to my 70 GS, this is my favorite year Skylark. Great fab skills. Subscribed.

Will this car make its debut at the 2018 GSCA Nationals?

Are you S*%#ing me? LOL......I'm not a magician! I'm trying for the 2019 GSCA Nat's, but even that's sketchy. Now if I had enough money to retire and just work on the car.........well that would be a different story! LOL!

Derek, I think you must be remembering me, and this intake.

Mike Phillips, Philip66, and I think there are several other Philip's on here too! Pretty easy to get us all confused!!

I'd like to do a Grudge Race against Steve or Mike, but we'd have to go off of a Christmas Tree with a handicap and that kinda defeats the purpose of a grudge race. I'm not at their levels yet, but I'm working/planning on it!

Slow going with the cage, but I've finally had a little time to work on it again. Going in for the final time...………..

Front bars look slick laying in the fender wells

Yes, lot of work there! LOL.My buddy that races and owns a body shop said "why do all that extra work? Just put the bars in and put new flat sheet metal panels in around them with Dzus fasteners." I thought about that for one minute and then proceeded cutting up the wheel tubs! I always need to do things a "little different!" I just wanted more of a stock look vs. a race car look. That's why I also spent a lot of extra time fitting the rest of the cage as tight to the body lines as I could. Hopefully at a glance you'll not be able to detect the cage.

    Cage arrangement looks great Steve!

Glad you got some time to work on it. I'm anxious for more updates!

Had a few more hours here and there to work on the car
again. The cage is pretty much done except for the window net mounts. Had a chance to trial fit the new seats along with the console. Looks like everything will fit good and have plenty of room. Now to make seat mounts, weld up the floor, start the bodywork, etc., etc., etc.
