I pretty much assumed that 'glass parts were un-available for Rivi's.. i figure'd that he seems to be a resourceful person so maybeee just maybe he might have made his own parts.... I'm actually contemplating it myself.. maybe the hood and trunk.. use the originals as plugs for a mould :Brow:

too much time to think and not enough money to throw around  :Dou:

As for how much I payed, I'd prefir to keep that between the seller and myself... let's just say he's happy he'll have money for his coming baby girl, and I'm elated about my new car and have ZERO reservations over the money spent.

NOW... I'll need to decode the cowl tag.. it's a 20-year old re-paint (in GREAT CONDITION!!) but I don't know if that was the original colour, though the inside of the trunk lid is white also and has the original jack sticker.... :Do No:

on a side note... THANKS A TON for the tips on the turn signal cable.. I secured it with a couple zip ties and now it works great and truns off when I come out of a turn :beer

now... I'm going to set up a Poll to get your guys opinions on what you think I should do o this puppy

I got a 64 Riv down here in Australia. All windows including the quarter vents are electric, it's got a radio finder button on the floor too. How can you tell if it's a posi drive? Just finished it in red pepper with cream interior with a black headlining and black carpets. Not original but looks great. It has the black trim on the console rather than the wood. Not many sold here in Australia as they were very expensive when new.

sounds like a beautiful car.. you should post pictures if you can.. is it right hand drive?

to find out if it is posi, you can do a few things.. you can either

A: do a durnout and if there's two tire tracks, you've got posi (my personal favorite, though with a newly finished car it might not be too wise)

B: jack up the rear of the car so both rear tires are off of the ground, spin one wheel, if both wheels spin in the same direction the you have posi.. if they spin in opposite directions then you have an open diff.

C: most likely there is a code on the cowl tag (don't take this as gosple as this is the first Riv. ive owned)

doing one of those three thing whould help you figure it out
