I went on the jc whitney website for these and read the reviews for the skylark panel. Not good.

Guys just keep pounding vendors, find out who the manufactures are and hound them. I have done the same with other parts, wheel moldings, grills, and other trim pieces that almost don't exist.

It wasn't that long ago you couldn't buy Chevelle body parts, now you can get better than OE full quarters and fenders. It's great that there is interchangeably with other GM products on a lot of parts, but it is the Buick only stuff they have to come to the table with.

They have to be looking because the 64-67s are getting more popular all the time with the ever rising cost of even junk GTOs/Tempast, Chevelles, and Cutlass/442s.

Remember the squeaky wheel will get greased and we will have parts one day soon, just keep hounding the vendors, they will listen and they too can pressure the manufactures to get on it.

I just picked up an NOS passenger side quarter panel for a 2 door hardtop. What is the difference between 66 and 67? They have a different part number, but do they interchange?

it's my understanding the rear 1/4s are very very similar, so much so that you wouldn't notice the difference.
where as the front fenders you'd have to swap out the whole front for it to look right.

I installed one of the alphaparts panels on the passenger side of my 65.
The fit isn't very good because the original panels are curved from front to back and the alpha panels are pretty much straight from front to back, also the curve of the panel from top to bottom wasn't correct.
I was able to make it better with a shrinker/stretcher tool, you could also do this by notching and welding across the length of the panel ,but is a lot of work.
    Don't get me wrong,with the tools i have,i couldn't have made a better panel for the money,but it isn't a straightforward weld-in piece unfortunately:-(
Here's some pictures of the install so you can see what i mean.

Thank you Larker. I appreciate the feedback. Looks like I will be looking for some donor panels.
