I need to replace my turn signal switch. Could someone please provide the steps to this process. Additionally, a wiring diagram would be extremely helpful (refer to the pix to see what I am up against). The last pix is the new wiring harness. Thanks

Pull the steering wheel, remove the screw that holds the switch to the column, pull the wires from the old switch out(looks like you may need to cut them since someone put generic crimp on. Feed the semi-circular connector down through the column and plug it in. Attach switch mounting screw, replace steering wheel. You'll need a puller for the wheel, I use a damper pulley puller. Most of the non-sense hanging down will go away. Hope I didn't miss anything.

So there is no need to drop the whole column.

I have a column sitting in my shop, I'll try to verify that. You may need to lower it to fish the wire through.

Old harness is out. Do you have to remove the wires from the clip to slide it through?

I took apart a floor shift column today and read the procedure in the Buick service manual. If you have a column shift you'll need to remove the shifter, remove the switch screws, turn the shifter cup counter clockwise to unhook it from the column tube and remove the cup. The it's easy at that point to pull the connector through. You may be able to do it without lowering the column, but I would think it would be much if you did, it's only 2 nuts. I took that floor shift column apart and put it together in about 10 minutes. The column shift may be a little more tricky, don't loose the spring.
