    I got questions.

Have you installed the engine and transmission into the car yet?

  6. Since that's car is a unibody and not intended for that kind of power I would guess you are going to have to install some type of subframe connectors and install a heavier Duty rear differential

Ron, looks like the engine is in already from the last pics he posted. My question would be, what did he have to do to make the trans fit? Were there floor pans mods? Sup?

Sup Derek, I seen the pic but did not know if it was hooked up yet.

I wanna know what he did for the stearing box and if he changed the front suspension out?

Yes they're installed and car is running

I haven't installed subframe connectors nor rear diff due to budget limitations < my main focus now is to get the car back to the road < will install ford 8.8 diff out of foxbody

Trans tunnel had to be modified

Didn't change front end " we modified it ! Frist I used ls 5.3 oil pan and curved the center link to kinda ) shape instead of | " clearness issue ". Also for the headers the driver side made out of two pieces ! Frist pice all 4 to the top of stearing box then 2 of the 4 pipes connected to cylinder 7 and 5. Second pice from the steering box to cylinder 3 and 1 < hope you guys understand what I'm trying to say will provide pics. Btw most likely will go mustang II front end in the future yet it cost 2500$ plus international shipping !!!!

Look for a mustang 2 or a pinto in junkyard and weld it... the ford expedition 88 rear differential will work too. Show me more pictures of the stearing box right side header clearance please Omar

Interesting! I just sent (a month ago) a 63 skylark front subframe down to Phoenix Az. The guy has taken it to a custom build shop and is having a new subframe built using Mustang II rack & pinion & such. He showed me a drawing of what he's having built and its way cool! Definitely will eliminate a lot of swap issues.

You would not believe the pics I have seen of pitman arms, idler arms and center links on 62 & 63 Skylark/Special subframes that have been "modified" to fit a different motor. Most of these mods (99%) just end up with bum steer.

Personally i'm sticking with stock and the 215 motor.

I wonder if I will have to modify the steering box or linkage if I go with a Buick 350???

You have to heat the pitman arm and idler arm and bend them down to lower all of the linkage & to go with a two piece driver side header.
