Best source to get new drums and shoes. Mine are no longer round. I may look to get them machined, but would also like to have a new set of drums and shoes. I've looked at various suppliers online, but after high quality replacements. 1961 Lesabre

I got a set of rear drums for my 63 Wildcat rather than buy new Chinesium drums. Were in mint condition with barely any wear.
Good honest dealer if he has any.

I just bought brake shoe kits from Kanter Automotive for my 1961 Lesabre. The kit includes all the springs. They also have kits that include wheel cylinders if you need them.

CARS is also a good source. They show brake drums for a 1961, not sure of the quality though.

Thanks all, yeah CARS, Kanter and old Buick Parts are on my list, just curious on quality more than anything. I have two issues being in Australia. It's very very expensive to ship out to here, so if it gets here and it's crap quality, I've lost a lot of money on junk. Second the Aust govt is now cracking down hard, really hard on anything that remotely might look like it has asbestos in it. They seek testing certificates and hold parts (and cars) until proven they have no asbestos. Another reason to buy from a quality supplier

I had a master cylinder sleeved at the place below. They did great work and and had no problem dealing with old, weird parts. The also do brake shoe relining. I wonder if you could find a place in Australia that does brake shoe relining to avoid the headache of trying to get parts through customs? The brake shoes I received from Kanter were in a clear plastic bag without any paperwork that stated whether they contained asbestos or not. Brake shoes might be difficult to ship into Australia for that reason, so it might be better to have your old shoes relined.
