Can anyone help with the Casting number / part number for a 56 322 stick flywheel? I need it to help someone identify one in their collection I may be able to purchase.
I know they have a 180 tooth ring gear, can anyone give a diameter, may also help.
    Thanks

I have a stick flywheel down "in the barn." If you need me to, I can dig it out in the next couple of days and measure it. I think that it's a '54 or '55 Special 'wheel, but it should be the same size. The starters on the 264 and 322 were the same, and I know that you can redrill the Special bellhousing for the larger Century and '56 gearbox.

Thanks for the info and offer John but it appears the "possible" I had lined up has the wrong amount of flywheel teeth. We have secured an alloy one for the 322 but hoping to eventually get a steel one. No hurry but a diameter measurement may prove useful for future reference.

Looks like the ring gear ID is 14-1/8
