so my 55 went into a shop that did a lot of good but for reasons I rather not say I had to move the car to another shop the first shop seems to have lost the rear bumper mounting brackets, my new shop says they can fab some new ones but if anyone has a set or a lead I rather go with a Buick part got to be super or roadmaster i'm told special wont fit also the shop say the stainless trim mounting hardware was lost , again I think my new shop can try and make something work but if anyone has some I would even buy the full stainless set from you if you have all the mounting hardware thanks in advance for help Will
Losing parts from a historical vehicle is unacceptable. I'd talk with them once nicely, then my lawyer would ask them where they plan to have new parts that are identical to the originals in both materials and fitment fabricated. If they have no answer to my lawyer's question, I would tell them where I plan to have them fabricated, and where I intend to send the bill, which they will pay.
Some parts have been found I'm told the clips they are still looking for the bumper brackets my new shop can fab those and depending on cost that maybe how it goes, I really don't want to get a lawyer involved
Probably not, since mine have 40-60 (small series) stamped on them. Check over at the AACA Buick buy/sell forum...I will bet they are available.http://forums.aaca.org/forum/12-buick-buysell/
FWIW: Special and Century rear track is 59", Super and Roadmaster is 62.2". Maximum width Special and Century is 76". Super and Roadmaster are 80".
