car is down to bare metal, my body guy was amazed that there is no rust, only one small pin hole under the winsheild, we are fitting vintage air con sytem under the dash, well after going back and forth on the motor the 322 is staying just pulling for paint and to fix a leak.

That's great you don't have to spend $$$ on rust repair. I like your ideas for the build. Very nice :TU:

Love the low look. I think paint should be dark and evil with some lake pipes to make it look even lower.

What a nice weekend. I finished reassembling the front suspension, aired her up and rolled it outside. It's the first time it's rolled in a while. Maybe I can get some more work done before winter rolls in.

I like the wheels. Are they Chevrolet Impala SS?

I kinda like them too, but they won't stay on the car... they're just rollers. They're mid-80's Camaro 15" wheels. The Impala SS's are 17's and 5 on 5.

To stick with my Buick roots, I'm thinking about using a 15" rally wheel with '67 Buick disc brake caps. I'm probably going to with a set of repro vintage torque thrust style wheels.

things are moving along nicely at http://blackdogca.blogspot.com/ Man I so glad we pulled the 322 to freshing her up, she was cake in old oil the build up was really bad . The first thing I did when i got the car was change the oil, but when matt pull the new oil filter off it was cloged with old oil, I really dodge a bullet as the top end was not geting oi,l if i had kept on driving her i would have killed the 322:dollar: :Dou: :beer

car looks like its going to be amazing. also very glad you staying with the 322, NOTHING makes me smile more than when a guy opens up his hood at a show and the old nailhead is still under there! they beat any engine for style and make great power!

you will be glad you did. my 55 had a little 264 in it and people could not believe it was a v8 that small and could make that big car turn and burn the way it did! I told them because buick knew how to make a v8 back then!
