Hello everyone, Kinda new to Buicks but have a passion for restoring cars. Before I dive in an purchase a 1968-1972 skylark I wanna know if/who reproduce any sheet metal for these old cars and some of the best restoration parts. Also if you have a 69-72 on the eastcoast I'd definitely be willing to take a look. Thanks
It depends on the year model and whether it is a convertible or a hardtop. It is best for you to post a more specific question because reproduction sheet metal parts are not available for fenders or full convertible quarters, hoods etc. www.thepartsplaceinc.com www.oldbuickparts.com
Sorry Its hard for me to be more specific bcs I dont have the car yet. ok so no hoods or fenders are produced. Most likely looking at a 70-72 skylark convert....couldn't I use rear fenderwells, floor pan and trunk replacements from a chevelle supplier? I just either wanna replace the rusted out part or cut then weld new stuff in
Sure on the floor pans with some caveat. The inner fenders are Buick only. Take some time to look at George's site: http://www.buickperformanceclub.com/page1.htm http://www.buickperformanceclub.com/qtr.htm http://www.buickperformanceclub.com/FenderwellDifferences.htm http://www.buickperformanceclub.com/TrunkPan.htm
