Good evening everyone, I'm in the final stages of converting my 71 convertible over to the 4L80E. I am at the point of running the wiring. Anyone have any photos that they would care to share with how their wiring, TPS, TCI TCU are mounted? Thanks in advance.
I have a US shift controller on mine. I was able to put the controller in the storage compartment in the console. With it there I can have instant access for adjustments and monitoring if needed. I didn't take any pics at the time but they have plenty of videos online on their website. What controller do you have and do you have a center console?
I also use the US Shift Quick 4 and I have it mounted right under the ac controls are on the dash. I want to see it and log the temp, pressure, lock-up, speed etc. I don't have to mess with TCU or the TCI, only the three wires for the TPS. Which is a custom made bracket right out of the front throttle shaft on my Dominator carb, mounted on the passenger side. Fernando
I also use the US Shift Quick 4, i installed mine under dash by my left knee, easy to plug in, easy to see and not a knee knocker. we'll see how it works there, may move it to the other side at a later date.
