    I Need:
    - 455 Quadrajet Throttle Cable and
    -TH 350 Kick Down Cable

Someone said the New Throttle Cables don't hold their shape.
    Has anyone tried one?

I should have the T-350 kick down cable and maybe the throttle cable, too. Email me direct: drolds1@bellsouth.net. Thanks, Bob.

Marting, what happened to the 350 cable? Was it for a 4 barrel? If so,that one will be good for the big block.Bruno.

New cables are OK. My major complaint is the the sleeve nearest the carb is plastic.

Bruno, The plastic sleeve broke by carb long ago when it was on the 350 4v, now on 455. Thanks, Mart

Understood, but you can use any good cables, with a little ingenuity. Here's my idea,I had the welder elongate the bracket that holds the cable on the intake about 3/4 of a inch, problem solved. This on the 455 bracket, using the 350 cable.I have had done that on mine.In case you want a picture of mine,it will take a day or two,but I can put one here for you.If you need one of these 350 cables,I have still a couple of them.Bruno.

Thanks Bruno, I have it in the 455 Bracket, but I don't think there is anyway to replace the broken plastic sleeve or if I could even find one.

why don't you try fixing yours?? Good prep (and cleaning) and the right adhesive might get yours back in shape. If you don't want to do the repair send it to me and I bet I could fix it.

Would buy the one from Cars. It seems like a reasonable price to me. I paid $50 used and shipped here on the board almost a year ago for a TA one. Only difference between an original and the repo seems to be the plastic sleeve on the carb end. The fix would likely work but it is a visual piece.

My '72 sleave was plastic from the factory. Bruno fixed me up. Thanks all...Happy New Year.
