Perforated metal instead of screen on the oil pickup? I do not have a good feeling about that.

As said...what do you mean by "cast rings"? If they're not moly-filled top rings, you're making a mistake.

I am currently in the process of installing a Msd 6AL on a 1970 Buick skylark that has been swapped from a small block to a 455, I have everything hooked up except the tach wire, what color wire do I need to look for as the whole wiring harness was chopped from previous mechanic working on the car?

Perhaps a moderator will make a new thread for this, instead of tagging-onto someone else's thread.

The short answer, is that you should be buying a Genuine GM service manual for your vehicle, which will include the wiring diagrams. I get most of mine on eBay, used, at advantageous prices. I've bought a couple on DVD, and in both cases I've been less-than-thrilled.

Should be a brown wire and you should wire that to the tach output on the box, not to the coil. Having said that, I find it highly unlikely that you will find the correct wire if everything has been hacked up on a 50 year old car.

Super sleeper engine. Great power with such a mild cam. I like it. Done right. I don't know Nick but lots of work went into that build. Congrats.

Nice numbers, I would like to see lower rom number tor the torque, but heck s nice 2800-3200rpm converter and this will be a tire shredding machine with plenty of manors to go to the store

No, the 800 CFM Quadrajet was not available, so it was dyno'd with the 750 Quadrajet.

The stock 1970 was too lean . I had a race 750 jetted differently corrected the fuel curve right out . 750s are usally a bit faster reving up
