455 Power Steering Pump Pulley Problem

Thanks one and all again for all the help on the 350 to SF swap on the 72 Custom/GSX Replica.
I'm hoping they make a deeper PSPump pulley because the one on mine makes the belt rub...belt needs to be back about 3/4" or so.

The 350 PSPump Pulley does not line up with the inside Crank Pulley on the 70 SF455. Do I need a different pulley or different bracket?

This explains some of the differences.. Are you using the big car power steering bracket and pump set up or your 350 stuff?

 

Thanks John, but mine is the bracket and pump from my 72 Skylark Custom 3504v w/AC. Everything fits right, it just acts like it needs a Deeper Pulley. I'll take pics.

Sorry John, I was totally wrong....pulleys line up, but belt hits water pump bolt and

 

and bottom of water pump pulley.
I must need the PS Pump Bracket for a 70 SF455. Thanks, Marty

The aluminum bracket is the same as a pre 71 350, maybe even the 300s and 340's iirc, the steel Big block specific brackets are available from The parts place

For SBB 67 to 70 I have the 2 power steering metal brackets,I do not have the aluminum.You will need all 3.Bruno.

 

Are the metal brackets from 67-70 different from big block to small block in those years? I've heard yes, and no.
