I built this engine as a test engine for a race car. It has about twenty quarter mile runs on it. It has Speed Pro pistons and rings, Clevite bearings, ARP rod bolts, Cam Dynamics hydraulic cam, Comp beehive springs, and Harland Sharp 1.65 roller rockers. I have the tech sheet that I made when I assembled the engine.
The compression ratio is 11.18 to 1 with FelPro blue head gaskets. To make this a pump gas engine would require thicker Cometic gaskets.
The distributor and stand does not go with the engine.
    $4000

    Jan,
The heads are ported and the intake is match ported. The cam is too big for street use. Nice talking to you!
    Thanks, John

It has Stage I valves and is internal balanced. It's best run was 10.86 @ 118.96 in my 70 GS stocker weighing 3650 lb.

Was that the engine in the white GSX that you ran in Indy with when I was racing?

This is not that engine. The engine in the car that day was a NHRA legal 71 non Stage engine. I built this engine for a customer's stocker that I built. I used this engine to get the car worked out before installing the legal engine. The quickest run with this engine was a 10.86.
    Thanks, John

Sounds like a great deal for an all iron motor to make enough power to push a 3650 lb. Buick into the 10's for only $4k.

I'm interested but not in line - yet!

What are the specs of the cam? From what I see so far,I don't see why it couldn't be streetable.

    Tony,
Yes, I do. GSrules has been talking to me, and is close to making a decision. If he declines, racenu is next. Then you.
    Thanks, John
