Does a mechanical fuel pump from a 425 interchange to a 430? The 430 pumps have an extra port which I don't need. I've blocked it off, but it's a potential leak point. The 425 pumps have only a intake & a discharge port, no return port.

Arms are different from nailhead to 400/455 and why would it be a potential leak? Just cap it with a section of hose a bolt and two clamps

Hugger, Thanks for the reply. I've already done just that, but if you could eliminate that unused port you wouldn't have to have that extra crap hanging off your pump. I had the same problem with a small block Ford but was able to find a pump without the 3rd port. Are there any other pumps compatible to the 430s without the 3rd port?

It's ugly I know but bout the only way short of cutting it and brazing it up or something. There were some early pumps I believe that I've seen that didn't have a return but they were the small bowl

Hugger, Thanks again. I have this engine in a '32 hiboy & so with the hood up it's more visible than say if I had it in a full body car. Oh well, I gave it a try!!
