I have a 66 riviera. Somewhere along the line the original engine was pulled. The guy I bought it from said it was a 1963 riviera 401. So I bought a starter for a 63. Didn't work. Solenoid hits on top. So I ran the numbers off the block. Turns out it's 1959 block 401 with a dynaflow. But wouldn't the block be same as 63? Almost seems like the solenoid needs to face down. Thanks for the help
