Just figured I'd let the Illinois people know about this event. I'm not a member of MSRA or associated with the event in any way. I went last year and had a blast (happened the weekend after the engine swap on my Buick:grin: ) June 30th at the Kendall County Fairgrounds in Yorkville, IL is the 36th Annual Gears and Ears car show put on the Midwest Street Rod Association (http://www.msraofil.org/) 8am-1pm Lots of cars mostly 30/40's street rods but a lot of muscle too, there were a couple Buicks there last year (lots of Rivs!). It's $20 to pre-register or $25 at the gate, it's a fundraiser for the kendall County Special Olympics Comets. other than the cars, you get free grilled corn on the cob, pop/water, a t-shirt, dash plaque and door prizes, also you can win one of their awards (they have some awesome hand made trophies). entry fee gets your car, two adults and all kids under 18 in. their event website is down but I'll scan in the entry form (Due by June 17th) if anyone is interested.
