For my whole life, for some reason, i thought a 364 intake was a bolt on to a 401-425..i thought they where the same width..im sure everyone knows the diff in early to late nailhead intakes are the width so..does a 364 intake bolt on a 401 i need to figure it out..because my memory isnt as sharp as i would like anymore..
Had this info saved, likely from the Yahoo Nailhead board: >> 322 Buick ... 364 Buick ... 401/425 Buick ... Each of these Buick engines has a different measurement across the rows of bolt holes that bolt the manifold to the heads. 322= 8 3/8" ... 364= 8 3/4" ... 401 and 425= 9 1/8" <<
bummer.. i found a blower intake for a 364....cant seem to find one for a 401...so..the hunt continues thanks walt..appreciate it
You can slot the bolt holes, but port alignment becomes a problem. But maybe you can do it with the blower manifold? I don't know what the inside of the blower manifold looks like. Last year I saw the Falcon with the blown Nailhead built by Chuckles Garage. You could ask them what they used. https://www.chucklesgarage.com/
yep..thats what i have confirmed.. thinking about turning around and doing a pontiac engine instead..i have pontiac stuff..some cool stuff and found a complete set minus super charger for dirt cheap..intake, drive and all, and a fresh blower..under 2k..way over 4k to do something nail head if i buy all new..and i dont want billet or polished up modern stuff.. i really want the nail head..but keep hitting walls..hard unpassable walls..
