350 VS 455 Power timing

    Would power timing be about the same for the two like in Larry's sticky ?

    Identical, keeping in mind that each engine runs best on different maximum timing amounts. But, the procedure is the same. Maximum advance is usually good between 30 and 35 deg all in by 2500 to 3000 RPM.

    350's are more susceptible to pinging from my experience, so listen closely

    If you are a stick car, you might not want it all in as quick as an automatic car so that it doesn't lug and chug.
