Hi having trouble trying to read engine numbers on the front of the block. I think the engine is a 1975 or later as it has HEI distributor and the water pump housing has 1975 cast in to it .The block cast number is 1241748. The engine number looks like H101729 but its so faint it not clear. Does this look like the correct number for a 1975 engine?
Hey there, it seems to be a 72-75 Buick 350. Pull the valve covers off and run the numbers from there. Also heads ip this was posted in the wrong section. Should be in small block thread section.
