350 Main Bearing Clearance Assistance Needed

    Plastigauge will always show you the absolute minimum that you have and I always use it as a final check out once all the measuring is done every time, and it saved me one time when I would have for sure lost a motor due to a measuring slip up!

    Just FYI, always buy new plastigauge from a dealer that moves a lot of it. I've seen unused packages of it that were old and was empty. It tends to melt/evaporate with age and gets skinnier. Will give you a false reading.

    Yes plasti gauge is the way for a person without tools see if the tolerances are not too tight. If the tolerances are too loose then the squish tape will likely not capture that problem with any accurately.
