    Thanks Sean i'll do that.

Alec, sorry I forgot to tell everyone that its on an engine stand with no flexplate (seller did not provide me with one) i can see a way i can fit my long flat head and rotate it, is this ok?

Put the balancer back on and some bolts thru the pulley bolt holes and use a bigger pry bar to turn it but have someone hold engine so it don't turn engine stand over. Remember to be safe here . It's hard to get replacement feet and toes.

I'm gunna be honest, I don't like either one.
The 70 block I tore apart had true flattops, no valve reliefs. Maybe they were replaced at one point?
Autotecs seem to be the hot 350 piston now.

Yes the autotec are a great Piston choice. Have them for my 380 build. The flat tops are probably the 3.0 century piston. Cheap hi compression. Sits about.090 below deck.

You actually have Ross custom 2618 forged pistons for your build because you want to run boost. The AutoTecs are 4032 forged ok for low boost, around 6 PSI or a small shot of NOS, around a 200 HP shot. When my niece gets out of college for the summer, I may even have some free time to wrap that build up?! And if in I have too, I will do the port work so this gets done!

I could not find a bolt or the harmonic balancer in my parts provided. So I could not turn over the moter. I did noticed that this guy before me had a main cap bearing, a bearing from one connecting rod and one lifter missing as Well as if he took them to go get looked at and never put them back.

I wondered in the middle of all this if I could just start knocking the pistons out with out the possibility of turning the crank but I just stoped..

One guy told me once some good advice, if you don't get it or you get mad at it, just walk away.

I tore down a seized up engine before by unbolting the rods where they were, knowing I wouldn't be reusing the pistons I used a long punch and hammered them out.

Start with the easy to remove the bolt or nuts rods(depending on year) first because with every piston out you will be that much closer to the crank un-seizing. Don't be afraid of breaking parts you don't plan on re-using anyway and you'll get 'r done. GL

Got it brother. Thanks alot. My plan for this is to tear it down and take it to machinist for a check and rebuild it with new parts.

Quick question, I noticed the fasteners on the position bearing caps where not the normal fasteners I'm used to seeing. Can I remove them with a normal socket or will I need a spline socket?

A 12 point socket for the rod bolts.
