Need a new crank for my 350 (spun a bearing on #7 a few years ago, looks pretty gnarly), i came across one on the net, number 1235419. Anyone know if that crank is a fit for the heavier capscrew rod late 70s 350s?

Thanks in advance for any input.

GM dynamically balances the Crank in those motors once the short block is assembled so even if you find the correct Crank your still going to want to get the rotating assy re- balanced!

    alec296 i need another buick

I would think the Old crank can still be cut . And if its too far out for a buick rod, go honda jounal.

I checked in the garage and I have a 1976 block with that same 1235419 casting number. It appears to be a non rebuilt engine. Yes you will not want to try to balance the early crank to the heavy caps crew rods. Like stated above you will still want to have a machine shop check the balance... they will need you do drop off the pistons, wrist pins, rods, rings, rod bearings, balancer, and flex-plate.

That's what I'm hoping, but if worse comes to worse, replacement crank.

Neat. My old 350 was a '76 as well. It's an ebay crank that says it was out of a 71 skylark, but it has that number cast onto it, so I thought I'd ask here before doing anything.

Where are you located again? I may have a crank that could work for you but I forgot if you were in CA or not!
