I agree, Paul. I apologize for succumbing to the pitfalls of taunting. Others here on the board might not be so generous.

I try to offer good advice and information to the best of my ability.

Gary, that post of yours I originally replied to did kinda go in a circle and was hard to decipher what the point you were trying to make, seriously. Insult me all you want that post was on like 3 or even 4 sides of the discussion, and I only replied to the one side of it, which I now know I shouldn't of replied to it at all, sorry.

FWI, I wasn't trying to "make a valid argument" if you read it you would see it says "copout" . I'm trying to get out of this flat tappit "discussion" but keep getting pulled back in! Not that I don't enjoy our winter "discussions"(LOL) I really don't want to be in this one anymore and I'm sorry I replied in the first place because I'm sure I agreed with one of the many points that are in that post I replied to. :puzzled: You win you are right whatever point you were trying to make, please let me be out.

Don't get me wrong I'm glad you're back bud, I miss our back and forth but, try not to take it to personal you know I still luv ya.:TU: My new year resolution for 2015 is to agree with you from now on.:Do No: Happy new year!

Sorry Derek. Let's just forget about it. No hard feelings. I don't want you to agree with me unless you actually do. I juggle many sides and I guess it does get a bit obfuscated. I think maybe we do more harm to these forums than we help, sadly. I need to leave for a while again until I can come back and report something useful instead of the same old ****.

    Peace to all.

Gary, I don't want you to leave, you're more knowledgeable on cam profiles than most, it was my fault for misunderstanding your post.

I wanted out because Paul reminded me this is talking about flat tappits that have the potential to fail no matter if they are a custom or off the shelf, so I really don't want to recommend any of them that has that potential. Your cam info is spot on, don't leave again, I didn't want out of this discussion because of you.

Chill out guys Gary likes to look at cam selection mathematically and there is nothing wrong with that. I do like his input on this issue When using math the equation will be right if the numbers are plugged in correctly. He is really more of a custom cam maker he just doesn't know it yet.

On the other hand custom cams do work if you know exactly what you are going to do with the car. But you do have to know all of the variables involved and is different for street or race or street and race together.

For the non tech person in this TA has a lot of off the shelf cams to use or the Crower line looks good too. Me I would try to roller cam it.

Stick around Gary, and Derek chill out dude I am working on it too.
