    I assume you have a J-Series (my 1st vehicle was a '70 Buick powered Wagoneer) and as much as I agree that I'd like to use the orig. block if possible, I can't see where a numbers matching block would add to the value and with any repair to that block, even stitching it which is apparently the preferred method, it will always be in the back of your mind whenever you're driving it.

    If I understand the stitching correctly, they're basically welding it and actually fusing the material. With soldering or epoxy, the material is attached to the surface and it seems to me that with expansion and contraction that it would have a much higher chance of failure.
