does any one no were i could find the actual oil pump for my 340? it came out of a 67 lesabre. i swaped it into my 84 regal. not getting no oil pressure after my mechanic fixed the timming on it. just stop working out of no were. so please help me please.
Did he take the front cover off or remove the oil filter housing? If so, did he pack the pump cavity with petroleum jelly so it would prime properly? If not, there's your solution...you probably don't need a new set of gears. Devon
No he did not but i will let him no to check it. so it doesnt sound to you like the oil pump needs to be replaced. is there ne way that by him adjusting the timming the oil pressure would stop? going off my gauge it was working. and now it just sits at 0. also forgot to mention that every since it stop working i have a knocking that sounds like the lifters or something.
