Can anyone tell me where to find what Ring Gear Casting #1373912 & Pinion Gear Casting #1373911 will fit?
I took them from a '66 Wildcat, that looked very original, I need to know if they will fit a '70 Riviera or what else do they fit.
    I know they are a 3:23 Ratio 42-13.
    Thanks in advance!
    Doug

If you have a 70 Factory Assembly Manual, you can verify the part numbers.

I do not have any assembly manuals for any years.
Although I would like one for a 1965 Gran Sport.

I have a 70 Assembly manual, not great print quality, but I was able to find the 1373911 pinion part number, but not the 1373912.

    Thanks Larry!
Any idea what Buick Years & Models it fits?

No, it was just in the big car section of the 1970 assembly manual. Very hard to read, it's a poor copy.

1966 -197 RING AND PINION should interchange between all FULL SIZE Buick cars with the 9 3/8" rear has a 10 bolt cover and 12 bolt ring gear 1.875 pinion shaft 28 spline yoke spline.
(IT MUST LOOK LIKE THE REAR COVER WE ATTACHED)
ONLY in 1966 did they have a carrier that had equal carrier bearings the late 66-70 were unequal carrier bearings in diameter and width.
The axles are all 30 spline bolt in.
So Wildcat, Electra, Invicta, Riviera, and even the Lesabre if it had a 455 original engine will have this size rear.

    Hope that helps.

    Jim,
    Thanks for the reply!
So I am guessing that the Carriers from '66-'70 also interchange except for the early '66 with the equal size Carrier Bearings. (which is what I have)
    Thanks Again,
    Doug
