That is a nice "neighborhood" burnout Darren!!! The only thing missing on your video is my grandson running out in the road touching the marbleized rubber. >
To all South Florida Buick enthusiasts, and you too Steve, First off I apologize for hiding in my "shell." I had surgery on my shoulder Jan. 2nd. After a few days the pain was pretty much gone. I was happy! Then a few weeks later came therapy. Many days suck! (PAIN) I'm stuck in this arm immobilizer that I have affectionately named "Hateful!" It is impossible to sleep!!! The good news... My therapist, AKA: the torture queen, says I am progressing well, my range of motion is "very, very good", and I get out of my "hateful" arm immobilizer in 2 weeks!!! So............... The official 2nd Annual South Florida Buick Get Together will be Saturday, March 9, 2019. The time will be 11 AM till whenever. As I said before, I'll provide the burgers, hotdogs, plates, and plastic ware. If you can bring a mac salad, potato salad, chips, dessert, or anything, awesome! It's bring your own drink whether it is soda or beer. I don't care. My son has access to an ice machine so we'll have coolers of ice if you need ice. Last year wives, girlfriends, and some awesome kids showed up. ALL are welcome!!! Again, I apologize for being "out of the picture." Hope to see all of you again! John
calendared! Thanks John! when date gets closer and we know who is showing up, we can divvy up who brings what so we
Also.................. For all you people living down south, Broward County, or you like to drive far. The 4th annual Broward Turbo Buick Meet will be held Feb. 17th. I have attended their meet a couple of years in a row. A bunch of very nice people. We are invited to their meet and they are invited to our meet. Many showed up last year. I will attach their invitation. Last year Fred drove down with me, Hector showed up, and Milton and family showed up. (All V8 forum members) So make an appearance if you can. John
Hope you're recovery goes well John! Internal and external rotation exercises for a couple more weeks and you'll be good as new! I'm definitely coming this year and I'll bring some bottles of soda, pasta salad(my gf makes it so good) and some chips.
Christopher, You just made me laugh!!! I wish "a couple of weeks of exercises" would do it. I just got finished texting my sister. She asked me how long was I going to be in PT. The answer..... 3 more months. < On the bright side.... Looking forward to meeting you finally, and I love pasta salad!!!
I wrote it in the calendar but ask for an exemption on bringing any food items. Will probably go bad before I get there. Its only like 400 miles. Crap!. Loking at the calender I'm already signed up for a show 350 miles closer on that day. Have a choice to make.
I'll be there. For any people traveling there is a super car show at the Cars of Dreams museum on Sunday. Great car show and buy a ticket and tour the museum. It's a Hospice fund raiser. The Museum has over 200 cars in it and it's theme is Coney Island. https://carsofdreams.com/
Haha yeah recovery for shoulder injuries are long and it sucks. I almost went the physical therapist route as a career but decided to go with cars. but anyway, im pumped to come and hang out with you guys!
Steve, I'll give you an exemption on the food, absolutely! Last time you showed up it shocked the heck out of me. Another car show much closer? Tough choice, but if you don't make it I'll forgive you. >
John and Jenn, Glad you can get away from the deep freeze in Maine for a little bit. Hope you 2 have a GREAT time where ever you are in Florida!
