what are you other guys using for a pressure plate on your stick shift 215’s ? D&D’s website doesn’t list them anymore but I have one of their old catalogs and their 10” pressure plate number is 360116, I googled this and it comes up as a McLeod or Rhinopac clutch disc, anyone out there have any info ?

I would give Mark from D&D a call I'm sure he has them. I bought a brand new one from him a few years ago. He told me he had them made locally.

Years ago I used a late 60s-early 70s Ford 10" diaphram with the old style Long bolt pattern. Think it was a Ram clutch.

I talked to Mark because I was concerned about getting a pressure plate that would fit into the recess of my stock flywheel and still have a 10 inch clutch. Basically what I got from him was that if I bought a clutch from him and it didn’t fit my flywheel, he could also sell me a flywheel that the clutch would fit , for something like $400. I also asked if I could have the recess machined off the flywheel to use a bigger clutch, he said he didn’t know, they never tried that. Now they’ve been in business for something like 40 years doing all sorts of custom work to these 215’s but it seems like every time I have a question, the answer I get is “ I don’t know “ Unless, of course, it involves them selling me something. They advertise “ Call us if you have any questions and we’ll be happy to help “ All I’ve ever gotten from them is a dead end.

I ordered a pressure plate from my local parts store , 10” for a 94 Ranger, 4.0 if it won’t fit into the recess in my flywheel I can send it right back, no charge. It will be in on Tuesday.

When Dad (hey its father's day, right?) was fixing his 38 Cadillac we sent the clutch to Fort Wayne Clutch. They fixed it and had it turned around in a day.
So when I was having some chattering with my 65 Wildcat clutch with recessed flywheel, I sent both there and they fixed it. No more chatter, great engagement.
Maybe try them if not satisfied with current situation.

Got my 94 Ranger pressure plate today, 64 bucks, not only did it fit the recess in the flywheel, but the bolt pattern is the same ! So much for D&D’s claim that they have pressure plates re-drilled to fit the 215 . Now I need a disc, just so happens that they make a 10 inch disc for Ford flatheads to use a T-5.

Bruce, Cool, on the pressure plate! Are you using a GM T5? You will need the 26 spline to match the input. If Ford t5, it uses the 10 spline input.

    I’m using the 82 thru 90 S-10 5spd , 1 inch shaft, 14 spline.

Wow! That's awesome that the Ford ranger pressure plate fits!

What motor did you order it for, 4or6 cyl?
    What's the part #?
I want to get one for myself.

The pressure plate is for a 94 Ranger with a 4.0 v-6. My parts guy ordered a clutch kit and sold me the pressure plate for $64 cause he knows someone else who needs the disc. The disc that comes in the set has 1-1/8 - 26 spline, I need 14 splines, but Speedway Motors sells a 14 spline, 10 inch disc.
