Peter Van Nolen Jim Rogers Dan Rocco Steve Reynolds Ethan Mathis TA Performance The above guys made for a great payout and to that I say THANK YOU. First was $1175 plus a set of trailer tires and towstraps Second. was $200 Third. Was. $75 Next year will be even better so stay tuned
Ethan, Advantage Trailer in Carol Stream, Illinois is who donated the tires and straps. I work for them, so they deserve the credit for that. Also a big Thank You to you and your wife for running the class this year. Already looking forward to next year.:3gears::beer
Same here, and I was just a spectator!! I should have brought my car, may next year, but after what I saw I don't think a little 4 gear street car has much for you guys. Nonetheless, thanks to all the sponsors for supporting a great event. Can't wait till next year!
We would love to have you bring Rusty Hulk out next year and race with us, look at it like this you'll have the only man pedal car, you'll be surrounded by good looking hard running cars, get to come out beside the tower , and have some of the most helpful and friendly guys on the property to race with. Just work on a conservative consistent launch and your good.
I won't rule it out Ethan, you guys looked like you were having a blast. That big orange beast of yours was a good runner for sure, too bad she broke traction on your last run, that thing pulls like a freight train! I know of one four speed there this year, it was a red 67 (I think). Not sure who it was, but he knew how to sidestep a clutch pedal. Hopefully rusty will be up to it next year, but either way I'll be there! One question, why did the gsr do a first round rerun?
That unfortunate event took place due to the people in the towers inability to do their job and give us a pro bracket tree instead of the heads up tree we got. Which in turn caused issues throughout the ladder. Long story short we got the shaft from the track staff and did the best we could in the small window of time available. However to anyone reading this that is interested in participating or did participate, I GUARANTEE that will it not happen again. I will not be bitten by the same dog twice .
I had a feeling the rerun was timing equipment related. Hey, stuff happens. You got an extra pass out of it anyway!! Haha.
:gp: I agree 100% Bob. A huge thanks to Ethan and all the sponsors. It was great to meet you guys and compete in the GSR class. I can't wait until next year.
I made a few calls today and already have 3 more sponsors for next year, and I will continue to drum up money all year fellas. GSR 2016 is gonna be a big one
Hey Ethan. It was great to meet you, your Dad, and brother at the hotel. Yall have some beautiful cars and they sound as good as they look. We enjoyed checking them out all week. Unfortunately we didn't have anything to race this year, but the Uncle and I already have a plan in the works to remedy that. We need to finish putting the race car back together, ran out of time for this year, and we are getting my car back on the road. We plan to run them both next year in about as many classes as we can fit them into. So if all works out, you should have a pair of '66 GS's enter into the GSR class next year. I may also run BSA and the standard bracket class. The race car will likely run GSR and the bracket class, not sure it would do well in BSA, but we will see what the Uncle wants to do. Seriously looking forward to next year.
Hugger, sorry we did not have more time at the Nats, you did all you could do, it was appreciated. Look forward to more dialogue with you as we sort out 2016 events. We are talking about doing BOPC events at Byron and the new 42 in Ohio. Time to embrace the realities needed to keep events viable. Loved meeting you and the Mrs, hope to see you together again!
