If someone needs specific parts brought to this BCA event in Charlotte in July contact me. If the weather is good, I will be there one of the days.

Out of curiosity.. Can we just show up and register?? I'm planning to come and bring a car, but I typically put things off until the last minute, but somehow always show up on time???

I'd like to bring the turbo Skylark.. But that's one hot SOB with all that turbo stuff under the hood..

Depending on what you want to do, there could be day of registration, but the deadline for registration is May 20th for judging, tours, meals etc, stuff that needs to ordered ahead. If you just want to come wander around, it's open to the public, except for hospitality room you would have to be registered to enter.
A display only car could probably be entered.

Are you coming to run the 4 lanes of the Z Max "The Bellagio" of dragways? From the Charlotte Motor Speedway, it is short walk to the strip via a pedestrian bridge.

We'd love to have you bring the turbo Skylark and you still ahve time to make the registration deadline postmark.

As the registration form says "Registrations received after the postmarked deadline are subject to limitations". Basically the limitations are the car will have to be in the will be in a "day of show display only" class on the main showfield. They will not be in any judged class or even parked as display only with the their specific class ( i.e. similar cars) because at some point we have to set the showfield classes and last minute additions screw everything up so we ave basically planned that all the late registrations and day of show cars will park together in a section of the showfiled where we don't have to worry about if we have 10 or 50 show up. Most likely this will be next to the driven classes. Still those cars should feel very much part of the showfield and all will be welcomed up to 10AM Saturday and then we have to close the gates to cars on the showfield.

The other limitation of late registrations are availability of activities and tours as we have to give final counts to these places. So we will do our best to accommodate, but no guarantees.

There are 9 people from IL registered with cars. I am not up on my IL town by town geography, but of the 9, a few are definitely Chicagoland folks as I recognize their names.
