Missed Buicks @ Bunker due to work and car not ready.

I guess this is my next goal!

Will be my first 1/4 mile pass, the cars first track time with the bb, should be fun/interesting.

So long as regals and strangers are welcome to hang with ya'll on test n tune night.

Is this race still on? I PM'd Shari but no reply. I'd like to go if I can but I have some questions about the track, etc. Anyone know who else has info about this event?

    Thanks Roberta,

I still need to know some things about the track. Is there camping allowed? Are there any electrical hookups?

    Who's going??

Hi Steve - I answered your pm a few minutes ago - I'm so sorry, I spaced on it as soon as I closed it, I guess. This age thing blows....

I know some folks have camped in their car trailers in the past - now i need to find out if there is electric or what. I'll get back to you on that!

And I know that Loyd and I will be there!

Thanks, Roberta - for the help and the nudge.

    Take care

    Shari

I was informed that anyone that stayed at the track with their stuff brought their own generators, there was no hook-ups. Sorry about that!

Is anyone else taking their street car for the Friday test n tune and cruise? Maybe this isn't the right time/place for that. Anyone attend this event before let me know, I don't want to be "in the way"

    Thanks,

    Steve,
I don't want to speak for the events promoters, but I'm quite certain any Buick is welcome to run on the track, provided you meet all safety requirements.

    BRING IT!! RACE IT!!

As long as it's a Buick and/or Buick powered, bring it on! We're even having a FWD class this year, hopefully!

And the more cars at the drive inn, the merrier!

I'm planning on going, if my house doesn't sell by then. There is someone interested and if they make an acceptable offer, I'll be too busy to go. Otherwise I'll be there Friday afternoon. I plan on camping at the track, but I may get a room at the last minute if there are any available at the time.

I hope like hell the track is prepped well because I went to my local track a week ago and I left the line like I was on ice. I run the Hosier Radial drag slicks and when they hook they work fantastic, but you need a GOOD track with good prep for them to work. As an example last fall in BG, I was turning 60 ft times in the 1.21-1.28 range all week long and last week at my local track all I could get was a best of 1.5x.
Can anyone tell me the history of this track .... like does it hook well and is it prepped properly??

    Thanks,
    Steve

Steve, maybe you might want to contact Bob Makely about this - he runs it every year. I do know that they try to acomodate us with sticky stuff, but I don't race here, nor does Loyd - we have too much to do.

Two weeks away - holy cow!!
