Phil, I took the liberty of reposting this event in the southern sections of every Buick forum I know. It is also up on our website as well. I am really looking forward to a good turnout with my fellow Buick friends! :3gears:
Here is the link from the turbo board. Nice work on the flyer Carl! http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/texas-area/277403-brand-x-bash-2009-event.html
Congratulations goes out to LSPBC member Carl Brimer for winning the King Muscle class at the Texas Muscle Car Club Challenge at Kennedale on Sunday. Carl, went through several rounds kicking butt with his 87GN. There were about 30-40 cars in his class. Way to go Carl! With that win came a nice plaque and a TMCCC Jacket! Team K (Buick Club) had 6 cars in attendance. 179 cars overall. This was a good warm up for Temple on April 5th! I'm hoping we have at least 30 cars for Temple, let's bring em out gentlemen.
Retired? No, but that's still funny! We are a small family business. We are also very lucky to have some very efficient staff members and clients who do not procrastonate so much. I have been planning for a while and I am pretty much just doing whatever it takes to be able to play on the 5th.
You are more than welcome. I really did not intend for it to become official. It is just something I threw together in about 15 minutes to be an eye catcher. I think that everyone is going to have a good time at Temple as long as the weather is compliant. :beers2:
Hi Phil, we are bringing 'Leaver' and perhaps the regal. We are trying to line up the second truck and trailer. It is posible that I may bring the Black car instead of the regal if I get some tires and the rest of the safety equipment. Jeff and I will be there for sure and maybe little Dave. What class of cars do we have now? Are we strong in certain classes and weak in others? If the car count is low in some classes we may step up or down in what we bring.
I'll be competing in the "King Muscle" class again. :beers2: 1/4 Mile Tracks Super Pro Muscle - 10.99 & quicker Pro Muscle - 11.00-11.99 King Muscle - 12.00-12.99 Super Muscle - 13.00-13.99 Street Muscle - 14.00-15.49 Stock Muscle - 15.50 & slower Electronics all E.T. 1/8 Mile Tracks Super Pro Muscle - 6.99 & quicker Pro Muscle - 7.00-7.64 King Muscle - 7.65-8.27 Super Muscle - 8.28-8.91 Street Muscle - 8.92-9.87 Stock Muscle - 9.88 & slower Electronics all E.T.
I checked online at TMCCC and it appears that historically, events located outside of the DFW area have a weighted points system for round one. Round one will be worth 4 points instead of the usual one if that is still the case. Therefore, this will be an excellent opportunity for the Buicks to jump way out there if the participation is high enough. For comparison, the Cowtown Mopars who regularly dominate this series, averages roughly 20-30 cars at every event except the out of town ones. Team K could really go in and make the biggest statement this club has had in its history. Wouldnt it be cool to have all our friends there in the stands waiving brooms in the air for the final rounds? Now that would make a cool pic! :Brow: :kodak:
How many Pro and Super Pro cars are we going to have. LEAVER will just mis the Super Pro class and run in Pro.
I'll probably slow a bit and run King. :Brow: We do need to spread out if possible? We don't want everyone in the same class. I can run Pro Muscle if need be. Once we get everyone there we can see where everyone is. They will ask you to write your class on your tech card, you can always change it later if your car runs something different then what you thought. I may even run the Rainier in Stock muscle just to get the points!
In like Flint!..... The weather is currently forecasted as sunny and 77* so don't forget your sunscreen. :Smarty: Is anyone outside of Texas planning on comming down? I can remember a good group from Oklahoma attending in the past. o No:
